These risks include but are not limited to ensuring that effective processes are in place for the identification, management, measurement, monitoring and control of operational, reputation and legal, market, credit, strategic, investment and liquidity risk, collectively “CIBC Risk”, incurred by CIBC’s retail and wholesale businesses, infrastructure and corporate governance groups. Risk Management plays a critical role in defining CIBC’s risk appetite and developing risk management strategies that align the bank’s risk appetite with its business strategy both components to allow CIBC to achieve consistent and sustainable performance over the long term. Risk Analytics and Credit Decisioning (RACD) establishes and provides an independent risk perspective, strategic direction and leadership for the following teams: Retail Credit Adjudication Secured Lending, AML Analytics & Risk Modelling Client Credit Risk Analytics Credit Risk Insights & Forecasting Quality Assurance, Fraud & Credit Integrity Indirect Auto & Business Banking Lending These teams develop advanced analytical techniques to optimize credit, fraud, and AML performance. As a second line of defense, we support strategic business units to monitor, measure, and control credit and fraud risks and ensure alignment with CIBC's risk appetite. Functions include, but are not limited to: capital (regulatory and economic) analytics and reporting, specific loan loss and provisioning, risk analytics for credit, and retail credit adjudications. In this role, you'll be part of the Change and Process Management team in various capacities within RACD. As a Junior Consultant, you will support initiatives & communications of changes to RACD by correctly identifying problems/resolutions. You'll be assessing the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes; recommending decisions and providing support as a subject matter expert. You'll participate in and/or facilitate internal/external client meetings at various levels taking ownership of activities to ensure client needs are met or exceeded. You'll work closely with various functional groups within RACD to fully understand business needs and advocate for solutions that align with the business objectives. Project Management – Utilize project management best practices to manage project portfolio. Be able to plan, execute, control and close projects. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in various aspects of RACD operations from the banking industry as well as project management; it is an asset if you have experience in change management, process improvement or a combination of them, along with six sigma certification/PMP certification.
