Primary responsibilities include: i) review and analysis of financial results, ii) preparation of consolidation accounting adjustments, and iii) preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures. Reporting to the Director, Consolidation, you will also assess the accounting impact of, or provide operational guidance on, new Business or Finance initiatives / products / processes, and perform analytical review on accounting matters as assigned. Organizational Skills – You possess excellent time management skills and are able to manage conflicting priorities to produce high quality work under pressure and tight timelines. You are able to effectively track open issues and questions as well as outstanding information requirements, and follow-up promptly on these items. Who You Are You act like an owner. You can demonstrate at least 6 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably experience with consolidation accounting that includes entities with multiple currencies and legal entity structures with multiple levels of subsidiaries. In addition, you have experience with International Financial Reporting Standards and/or financial reporting, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It’s an asset if you have knowledge of financial institutions and associated regulatory requirements (i.e. OSFI/OSC/SEC). You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Values matter to you.
