The Population Health and Prevention Unit requires a Senior Research Associate (SRA) to lead the development and statistical analysis of population health and chronic disease prevention and management program indicators, review and interpretation of complex data and information, and development of reports and dashboards. The SRA is responsible for producing high-quality, actionable, and applied epidemiological and health services analyses to support quality improvement, performance measurement, and evidence-based planning and decision-making, with the goal of improving patient outcomes, patient and provider experience, value, and equity in the health system. Here is what you will be doing: Develop analytical plans, review literature, and identify data sources to support program indicators. Perform data analysis using SAS, verify data quality, interpret findings, and document methods and limitations. Provide expert insights into population health and chronic disease data and methodologies. Draft compelling reports that summarize findings and offer actionable recommendations on critical areas for improvement. Present analyses to senior team members and broader stakeholder groups when required. Enhance tools, templates, and processes to optimize analytic activities and outcomes. Identify operational risks and recommend solutions to the Manager. Coordinate advisory groups or committees and facilitate productive meetings as necessary. Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience A graduate degree (e.g., MSc, MPH) in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or a related public health field 3-5 years of related work experience is required Proficiency in SAS, R, or equivalent statistical software for statistical analysis Experience in quantitative data analysis using SAS, R, or equivalent statistical software Experience using large, administrative data sets or health survey data Experience with or knowledge of indicator development and analysis is preferred Experience using research and analysis methodologies and tools to gather, synthesize and present information/data Experience in writing and presenting reports/communications on the information/data gathered that is both comprehensive and easy to understand Demonstrated computer and data management skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Knowledge and Skills Ability to work effectively in a team, but with minimal supervision Strong oral and written communication skills Location: GTA, Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change) #LI-hybrid Employment Type: Permanent Full time Contract Length: N/A Salary Band: Band 5 External Application Deadline Date: May 30, 2025 All applicants must be a resident of Ontario to be considered for roles at Ontario Health.
