We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Production Planner to oversee raw material availability, work order scheduling, and the production lifecycle to ensure the achievement of Build Plans, Customer Order Acknowledgement and Finished Goods inventory targets. This position is integral to maintaining production flow, identifying and resolving capacity constraints, and coordinating cross-functionally to meet operational goals.
The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to troubleshoot scheduling issues, and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems. This role is also responsible for driving clarity and visibility to accurate production plans in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a passion for driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP System Maintenance:
Assist in the on-going implementation of Supply Chain ERP system (NetSuite), including parameter setup for MIN, MAX, ROP, and Safety Stocks.
Manage and maintain accurate data in ERP systems, including item master, product structure/Bill of Materials, and financial routing maintenance.
Work Order Creation and Maintenance:
Create and release all work orders, including production, rework, RTV, and engineering build requests.
Set up and manage the weekly Production Schedule for Finished Goods, Subassemblies, and Field Service requirements.
Monitor work orders through the production cycle to achieve Build Plans and align with Finished Goods inventory targets.
Master Production Scheduling:
Develop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources, and capacity.
Troubleshoot scheduling problems and consumable variances, troubleshooting corrective actions as needed.
Participate in the Change Order Implementation process for open manufacturing orders (WIP).
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Purchasing to identify and escalate scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints.
Coordinate the resolution of raw material shortages, safety stock levels, and aging work orders to avoid production disruptions.
Expedite material procurement through Purchasing and reprioritize production plans as required.
Key driver in confirming Clear to Ship Dates for Sales Orders
Create Clear to Build / Clear to Ship responses for Sales and Sales Operations for Quotations and Sales Opportunities
Reporting and Metrics:
Publish timely and accurate reports to communicate status to management and stakeholders.
Monitor production output and deviations to the production plan, formulating response strategies to maintain schedule adherence.
Timely escalation of excursions outside of KPI Control Limits
Prepare current and adopt new production reports (metrics and KPI’s)
Manage Planning within Inventory targets
Ensure alignment between Supply Chain and Production to set unit volume targets.
Teamwork:
Assess the impact of production constraints and escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders to collaborate on risk mitigation and resolution.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration and accountability, supporting team growth and development.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling work procedures and overall efficiency.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Planning or Scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
Strong preference for advanced NetSuite experience.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
Preference for understanding of MES systems, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.·
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully in parallel.
Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proactive approach to identifying potential scheduling conflicts and mitigating supply disruptions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:
ASCM/APICS CPIM and/or CSCP Certification

· This is a hybrid opportunity that can be done from our offices in Hayward, CA or Victoria, B.C. Canada.
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.
Canadian Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000 CAD per year/hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
