The Opportunity This position works remotely out of Canada location in the Diabetes Care division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. What You’ll Do Lead and manage a team of software engineers focused on the development of our headless CMS system, and the delivery of content to a growing number of public facing web and mobile applications Oversee the design, development, and deployment of headless CMS solutions using tools such as Strapi and Contentful Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to ensure CMS solutions meet business requirements. Drive best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Provide consistent and clear feedback to your direct reports. Team members understand when they are below, meeting, or exceeding expectations. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure the successful content delivery Manage the localization of content for applications deployed in over 50+ countries Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our CMS solutions at the forefront of innovation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant field or equivalent experience Minimum 7 years of professional hands-on software development experience in either mobile and/or web-based platforms 2+ years of experience in managing engineers and leading a team Demonstrated experience working with headless CMS systems and complex content architectures In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript and React Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with AWS and S3 Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills Comfortable working in an agile environment Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
