Your Contribution
As a Materials Testing and Field Inspection Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Materials Team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
Field inspection during placement of soils and aggregates including reviewing import materials, equipment used, construction sequencing and daily conditions
Field compaction testing of soils & aggregates according to relevant test standards
Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing
Communicating results effectively with onsite personnel and Englobe supervisor
Reviewing and properly referencing construction drawings
Maintaining proper records of field testing and preparing daily test summary reports
Your Profile
Experience in construction and/or soil and aggregate testing is an asset
Ability to handle samples up to 20kg of materials regularly
Must have a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License in good standing and feel comfortable operating a truck
Demonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safety
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Willingness to work long, irregular construction hours potentially including weekends and holidays
