As Project Manager, you will act as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement and partner with key stakeholders across our Faculty to deliver quality business solutions to help us enhance the impact of our innovation. In this role, you will provide guidance to our leaders in the development of continuous improvement plans and roadmaps, facilitate working groups and process mapping sessions across a broad range of disciplines, and assess root causes and performance gaps and support the implementation of appropriate interventions. Your proven ability to foster teamwork, drive collaboration and harness innovation in highly complex, decentralized environments will be vital to your success.
Essential Qualifications
University degree, and/or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum four (4) years’ experience leading institutional-wide projects and a proven track-record of successful change and driving results through process evaluation and redesign
Experience facilitating cross-departmental and multidisciplinary working groups and process mapping sessions
Experience negotiating with service providers, establishing, and monitoring service level agreements
Experience with business intelligence tools, data analytics and data visualizations
Strong technical skills, including a facility for working with project management tools and keep current with new and emerging technologies
Proven commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity
Must be an articulate and effective communicator, both verbal and written
Must possess excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels
Advanced consulting skills, with the ability to work across the organization to influence decisions for a positive outcome
Strong ability to deal with senior leaders in a manner which facilitates cooperation and consensus building
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex projects and manage conflicting priorities while working toward tight deadlines
Strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills, and ability to take functional requirements and translate them into models and concepts
Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities; high degree of political acuity and judgment
Ability to lead and assemble working groups and committees to discuss and assess projects that require input from many stakeholders and provide leadership to guide and oversee their efforts
Must be able to conduct thorough research, concisely summarize information and provide a rationale for action
Excellent conflict resolution skills with strong ability to exercise judgement, tact, discretion, and determination
Ability to take the initiative and respond to change
Proven ability to conduct research into technical or project-related issues and products, to continually improve processes and solutions as technology changes
Assets
Knowledge of University policies and procedures, and an understanding of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine’s organizational structure
PMP certification preferred
Lean Six Sigma certification(s)
