Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC’s Enterprise Strategy & Transformation team is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Research + Insights (R+I). R+I plays a critical role by providing an outside-in perspective on key topics. We support internal business partners across the Enterprise, as well as partnering directly with ES&T’s consultants on strategy projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly curious, has a passion for solving business problems, leads with empathy and has a great sense of humor. In this role you will deliver high quality secondary research to derive insightful analysis for senior leaders in support of RBC’s strategic priorities. You will be responsible for building and presenting impactful research deliverables, as well as managing relationships across RBC. What will you do? Partner with senior leaders across the organization to understand business problems and frame research scopes aligned to strategic objectives Deliver high-quality research deliverables (written and presented) through secondary research (e.g. market data, industry reports, expert interviews, public domain information) Synthesize complex information to meet business partner objectives, and present findings to executive stakeholders Support broader ES&T initiatives by providing advisory research support, guidance, and best practices Challenge the perspectives of our business partners and teammates with impactful research findings that elevate outcomes Contribute to ongoing evolution of R+I vision, services, and operating model by participating in internal practice development Develop knowledge of RBC’s strategy, business processes and technical systems, and progressively deepen organizational awareness What do you need to succeed? Must-have Collaborative self-starter with the ability to pivot as necessary Masters, or other post-secondary degree, or equivalent experience 3+ years’ experience using secondary research to support business strategy decisions Ability to efficiently analyze and translate large amounts of quantitative / qualitative information into actionable and compelling insights for business partners Experience storyboarding & delivering presentations in PowerPoint Superior written & verbal communication, and project & stakeholder management skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Adaptability and humility Nice-to-have Financial Services experience Experience coaching colleagues on project work What’s in it for you?
