We are seeking Senior Financial Analysts to join the team as a trusted finance
partner for multiple fulfillment centers to drive cost controllership and
provide business insights and/or to drive business planning and reporting for
the Canadian Fulfillment network. The successful candidate will have
demonstrated the ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful
decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Regular
collaboration with executives and various business units across Amazon will
allow you the opportunity to exhibit your verbal and written communication
skills. Our Senior Financial Analysts partner closely with a broad range of
Finance and Business leaders, design and develop Business Reviews, support
customer and business insights, own data modeling, ad-hoc reporting, and long
term analytical and statistical projects. They support cross-functional
stakeholders and work with multiple sources and a wide range of data
technologies (e.g. PowerBI, Quicksight, SQL etc.). They focus on identifying
areas of improvement in the reporting and analysis of business performance and
work with relevant stakeholders to deploy solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing metrics and business
analytics, has the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies, and
a has strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DW) concepts. Excellent business
and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions
and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be able to work
with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement reporting
solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Utilize solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial
models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make
recommendations that deliver results, and drive improvements
- Manage development of weekly and monthly financial reviews, forecasting, and
reporting models and their continuous innovation and communication to Financial
and Operations partners
- Coordinate business leaders and FP&A to prepare a business narrative to tie
with the financial bridge
- Create standardized models to calculate impact of business drivers on
efficiency of labor
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with
stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Have ability to independently influence and drive outputs, meet deadlines, and
set clear expectations and roadmaps.
