Vertex Resources Services Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Parts Manager to work in Alida, Saskatchewan. The Parts Manager will be a foundational role in the mechanical maintenance team and is responsible to ensure all parts required for all equipment repairs and modifications are sourced, ordered and in stock in a timely manner.
Candidate Qualifications
Journeyman Parts Ticket or 1-2 years Heavy Duty parts or warehousing experience considered an asset
Experience in a service writing position considered an asset
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
High degree of organization with the ability to manage paperwork efficiently
Independent and resourceful; ability to work under minimal supervision
Proficient with computers and supporting programs, eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, etc.
Has knowledge of mechanical parts, catalogs, distributors and dealers
Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs
Valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
Maintain inventory of parts - control current inventory and predict future needs
Maintain proper and adequate inventory levels form often required items
Source and order required parts from Manufactures and track deliveries
Prepare Purchase orders for parts and process once parts received
Work with suppliers to ensure we are receiving a quality product for a competitive price
Reconcile invoices to ensure all parts ordered have been received
Provide mechanics and technicians with required parts in a timely manner
Maintain parts management system
Maintain filing system of all parts documents
Ensure all parts are stored in an organized and efficient manner
Participate in annual parts inventory, clean-up and preparation work
Identify improvements from the inventory management system
Assist in Shipping/Receiving if required
Ensure Parts department area and office are clean, organized, and safe for all workers and visitors
Adhere to Health and Safety Management System, be familiar with and follow all applicable safe work practices, safe operating procedures, and safety specifications detailed in equipment manuals and manufacturer's specifications
