To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Database Infrastructure Consultant, you will join CIBC’s Cloud Engineering and Transformation team, you will provide technical leadership on infrastructure design, best practices and standards to implement Oracle Database capabilities at enterprise level. As an engineer you will be working on OEM infrastructure, Multitenant Architecture, Oracle Key Vault (OKV), Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and Patching using Oracle lifecycle management (OLM). As an engineer you will provide 3rd level support. You will also have the opportunity to work on Oracle in Azure Cloud. How You’ll Succeed Leadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance automation related solutions. Weigh business needs against technology offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve automation, which are practical and achievable Governance – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements etc. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department. Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection, design and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options; provide comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams; provide subject matter expertise on specific existing technologies. Manage the ongoing vitality of the technology throughout its lifecycle. Oracle Multi-tenant – As SME for Oracle Multi-tenant architecture allows databases to function like a container database with multiple pluggable databases. Your expertise and experience will play a key role to transform existing Non-CDB databases to CDB/PDB databases and bring consolidation of databases and ease of database management. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in managing Oracle multi-tenant databases, including initial setup, administering CDB/PDB databases and converting non-CDB databases into CDB/PDB model. You bring hands on experience maintaining OEM Oracle Enterprise Manager. Experience with OLM (Oracle Lifecycle Management) is an added asset. you have knowledge of managing Oracle RAC, Data Guard and ASM and including patching databases. In addition, knowledge of automation and DevOps tools along with audit compliance reporting & scripting is important for this role. You have strong knowledge of: Oracle Advance Security products Transparent Data Encryption at rest TDE, Database Vault and Oracle Key Vault OKV You act like an owner.
