Position Summary: This is NOT an IT Tech role The Junior Service Technician is responsible for in-house project and non-project equipment testing, managing customer food products for testing, and coordinating with project and assembly teams. This role requires hands-on work with food products and equipment, ensuring that machines operate according to customer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized testing environment. Work You’ll Do: Conduct in-house testing of project and non-project equipment, ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Manage customer food products required for testing and coordinate schedules with the Project and Assembly Teams. Perform hands-on testing of machines, standing for extended periods as necessary. Identify and resolve issues during equipment testing, providing detailed reports on findings. Clean and reorganize equipment and the testing area to maintain a safe and efficient workspace. Work independently on assignments with minimal supervision and carry out other duties as assigned. Team: You will be part of a collaborative team that includes project managers, assembly teams, and other technicians, working together to ensure the successful testing and operation of equipment. Basic Qualifications: Education focused on Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Electrical systems, with some education and/or experience in Electronics or Trade Qualifications in these areas. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make recommendations for continuous improvement. Ability to collaborate and interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams. Valid driver’s license and passport for site travel and international assignments. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods time, and able to work with various food products Preferred Qualifications: Priority consideration will be given to candidates with experience in the food or bakery production industry. Bilingual proficiency in English/French or English/Spanish is an asset. Experience with troubleshooting PLC control systems, HMI, and industrial networks (e.g., Allen Bradley, Unitronics).
