Work That Matters, People Who Care.Job DescriptionWHAT'S THE JOB?The Food and Beverage Supervisor will report directly to the Lodge manager and will work closely with the Chef and Manager to ensure meal service standards in Food and Beverage and offsite lunchrooms are maintained. Duties to include coaching, training, and upholding company standards.The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a Nunavut camp setting with the following amenities:All meals and accommodations are provided Travel is provided to and from the site locations from a designated hub location in Edmonton, ABPrivate room with cable television Access to Wi-Fi Access to laundry facilities and detergents Access to a gym and common areas Key Responsibilities:Supervising the work conducted with the dining room within a remote lodge settingResponsible for driving themselves, staff, and food suppliers to the offsite locationsTrain staff on dining room and lunchroom standards and continue to mentor staffDaily set up of the dining room and offsite lunchrooms for each meal service, which includes but not limited to arranging place settings at tables, setting salad bar, cleaning, and stockingServing guests, auditing, inventory, assisting in kitchen where required and other duties as requiredProduction of menu items in large volumesPhysical Demands:Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbsClimb ladders and stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsWork with arms above shoulder heightQualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?3 years of experience in the food service industry, hotel managementSafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an assetValid class 5 driver’s license and recent driver’s abstract will be required prior to position commencementProduction experience preparing menu items in large volumesExperience in supervising and training a teamYou have an ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a team playerComputer literacy, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe software including POS equipmentAble to effectively handle the concerns of employees, customers, and clients with tact while adhering to confidentiality policiesAdditional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 4 week on/2 week off rotationAbility to expand skills in a large camp atmosphere Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderWork schedule and remuneration: Food and Beverage Supervisors work on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on/2 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
