Top Tier Reps is seeking an experienced Subrogation/Civil Attorney to join a growing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex subrogation matters while maintaining autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility. The ideal candidate is licensed in California, has a background in civil litigation or subrogation, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent insurance carriers, TPAs, and self-insured employers in subrogation matters
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and mediation briefs
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
Negotiate settlements and manage caseload proactively
Mentor legal assistants and collaborate with litigation teams
Attend client file reviews and training seminars
Maintain strong knowledge of California civil procedure and subrogation case law
Maintain accurate case documentation using PracticeMaster
Meet all procedural deadlines and contribute to client satisfaction
Participate in client engagement and marketing initiatives
Requirements:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
3+ years of experience in civil litigation or subrogation preferred
Superior legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
Must reside in California and be available for in-state travel
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience managing litigation calendars and legal support teams
