Our GO Operations & Safety – Service Design team is looking for a Rail Performance Management Analyst to provide specialized analysis and coordination in support of GO Transit’s rail system, through operational planning and forecasting activities.
What will I be doing?
Monitor and report service effectiveness through data analysis for the purpose of identifying issues and recommending improvements.
Operate and maintain currency of a sophisticated rail scheduling software system, as well as develop, implement, and manage the tracking and reporting of third-party train movement on GO Transit owned corridors.
Plans and makes recommendations for special services and events, including those requested by applicable stakeholders (VIA Rail, Durham Heritage, CN/CP (Railways)
Develops and recommends operational parameters for new or modified services, facilities design, equipment allocation, policies, programs, and standards.
Collaborates on assessing impacts on ridership, schedules, equipment, and other corporate resource requirements.
Review and update relevant manuals.
Write various types of reports for senior level management.
Provide railway operations resources and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
