A typical day on the job might look like:
Getting your hands dirty testing aggregates, soil, and concrete in our lab
Heading out to sites to collect and test samples of soils, concrete, and asphalt
Making sure compaction is on-point for subgrade soils, aggregates, and asphalt
Inspecting subgrades and foundations to ensure they're built right
Taking charge of drill rig operations and keeping things running smoothly
Jumping between office, lab, and field for various materials testing tasks
Tackling other related duties when needed

Your background and what you bring:
College Diploma in civil technology (or similar field) is helpful – whether you're enrolled now or recently finished
5+ years experience with materials testing and inspection gives you an edge
Background in civil construction work is valuable
You'll need a valid driver's license and your own vehicle to get to job sites
You can document field observations and effectively discuss project details with the team.
