Reports to: Parts Manager/Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Parts Inventory Management:
Quote, order, receive, organize, and store incoming parts and materials in designated storage areas.
Track inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to ensure adequate supply for production.
Parts Distribution:
Deliver parts and materials to production lines or other plant locations as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Operate motor vehicles, forklifts, or other equipment for parts transportation.
Documentation and Tracking:
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts using inventory management systems.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality against purchase orders or production needs.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all workplace safety procedures, including safe lifting techniques and equipment handling protocols.
Ensure the proper storage of hazardous materials, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines.
Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with production teams, warehouse staff, and supervisors to address parts shortages or urgent requests.
Report inventory discrepancies, damaged parts, incorrect parts or other supply issues promptly.
Support Production Goals:
Assist with organizing and maintaining clean and efficient storage areas.
Ability to work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License: Minimum of a G2 Driver’s License (valid in Ontario).
Driving Record: Clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
Background Check: Clean criminal background check.
Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Location: Must be able to commute to Mississauga, Ontario.
Availability: Minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
