The Senior Manager, Application Development is a professional responsible for managing multiple development projects, development groups and application support functions for major lines of business. The role applies professional knowledge to oversee the development, testing and implementation of Transaction Surveillance systems, directing, motivating and developing staff to maximize their individual contribution and function effectively as a team. The Senior Manager, Application Development leads a team and manages resource requirements and allocations, monitors and improves quality, and ensures 'best practice' development techniques. Additionally, the role works with the business groups in the development, testing and implementation of application programs that help monitor Anti Money Laundering / Transaction Monitoring activities. How You’ll Succeed Understanding Requirements – Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with stakeholders and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions. People Leadership – Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems. Relationship Management – Work closely with stakeholders and business partners to develop, test, and implement application programs. Drive impact by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience leading a team of developers and are a seasoned professional with the ability to coach and help develop other team members. You are a code quality champion with hands-on experience in Software Design using SOLID Design principles. We’re looking for someone with an understanding of DevOps principles and best practices, experience in Microservices, REST API’s and Technical experience with: Python(Azure Data Bricks), C#, .Net, SQL Server, SSIS, REACT. It’s an Asset if: You have good understanding of Capital Markets products/ Banking and experience with Azure Cloud. Must have knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.
