The Supervisor, Audio & Video oversees the buying and implementation process for broadcast investment for their assigned group of clients. The role is critical to ensuring the overall corporate investment direction is attained through the development and execution of media buys according to the brand process and client deliverables. The Supervisor, Audio & Video will also oversee the development and accurate deliverables of Audio & Video coordinators. Accountabilities: Leads and drives positive working relationships with vendors and provides guidance on vendor selection to support the overall commercial investment direction. Manages, coaches, and develops team across activation deliverables through the campaign lifecycle to improve and optimize the media buy to achieve client goals. Helps to identify development areas in team members to help achieve and drive their performance goals for the year. Supports the media planning teams throughout campaign activation process to maintain performance and resolves any campaign-related issues. Facilitates the implementation of quality control process and systems where needed. Uses tools to develop execution strategies, rationale and buy structure to deliver on campaign goals. Works closely with the investment leadership team to understand market dynamics (pricing, execution opportunities) and strengthen vendor relationships. Recommends the deliver buy structures that encompass the best environments for each client’s target audience, while maximizing value and efficiency. Prepares reporting documentation for media planning teams and clients demonstrating the strategy and rationale executed to deliver on campaign goals. Analyzes preemption/makegood activity to ensure value delivery is enhanced wherever possible. Actualizes each campaign, including the negotiation of compensation for use on future campaigns. Contributes to the overall campaign strategy and strategies ways to improve and optimize campaign performance to meeting client goals. Understands the impact of under-delivering stations/properties and uses this learning to influence and optimize future buy structures and executions. Qualifications: Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. A minimum of 2.5 years of media planning and/or buying experience focused on Broadcast Channels – TV, Radio, OLV. Experience with broadcast industry tools (Lens, Infosys, DDS, AdTraq, etc.) is a must. Previous people management experience with the ability to lead, coach, develop and retain top talent while having the ability to address performance. High-level of confidence with an ability to manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with numbers and budgets to determine results of campaign. Advanced level MS Office skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders. • Aptitude for priority management where it concerns managing multiple deliverables/work streams. Must be able to organize ideas and present back information logically and sequentially. Additional information The salary range for this position is $60k-$65k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
