As a tekmar Receiving & Warehousing Specialist, you'll play a vital role in managing inbound materials, ensuring seamless storage processes, and collaborating with teams across operations. This is a key position where you'll drive efficiency in receiving, inspecting, and managing materials to support manufacturing excellence. You will contribute to a forward-thinking, collaborative team. In this role you will also assist with shipping during peak times and take charge of assigned maintenance tasks to keep our operations running smoothly. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Material Receiving & Inspection: Conduct inspections for all inbound shipments, verify delivery notes, and handle non-conforming products with precision. Warehouse Organization: Establish and maintain safe, clean, and efficient storage solutions, while ensuring components are always accessible for manufacturing needs. Shipping Support: Assist with picking, packing, and shipping during busy periods; backfill shipper duties when required. Collaborative Operations: Work with cross-functional teams to contribute ideas, lead improvement projects, and achieve company targets. Maintenance Tasks: Execute maintenance assignments safely and efficiently, documenting processes thoroughly. Continuous Improvement: Participate in exciting projects like Kaizens, VSM events, and continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager EDUCATION: Completion of Grade 12 or higher. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS: Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a team environment. Proficiency with operational software (e.g., MS Suite, Excel) and experience with warehousing systems. Experience using an Electric Walkie Stacker is an asset. Experience using an ERP Software system with inventory integration will be a strong asset. MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION: No direct reports PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
