JOB OVERVIEW Reporting to the VP, Registered Accounts, the Supervisor Registered Accounts will be responsible and have oversight for all processes and procedures related to the operation of Registered Plans such as, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF), Registered Education Saving Plan (RESP), Registered Disability Saving Plan (RDSP), and Locked In plans (LRSP, LRIF). This highly motivated and energetic candidate must ensure all requests and inquiries from advisors, clients and internal teams are processed accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensuring efficient, accurate and timely administration of registered products is crucial to the success at both an individual and team level. WHAT YOU WILL DO Managing and have oversight over the registered account administration. RDSP and RESP account administration is in scope. Processing and assisting with RRSP withdrawals. Performing and assisting with special processing for estates, home buyers (HBP and FHSA), LLP, marriage breakdown, court orders, etc. Assisting with account reconciliation for registered accounts. Handle contributions, redemptions, and other operational activities related to registered accounts. Collaborate, provide support and work closely with financial advisors and client service / internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies with registered products. (account management, transactions, account statuses, etc) Performing other duties as assigned. (special projects). Participate in audits and internal reviews to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence. Identify and implement improvements to operational processes to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of account administration. Assist in the development and execution of new procedures and best practices to improve operational performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve the client experience related to registered products. Provide regular updates and status reports to Senior Management and compliance teams as required. Manage, train and guide team members to ensure efficient and effective operations. Provide mentorship and support to junior team members Involved in setting team goals and track progress towards meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 5+ years of experience in an operations role within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on registered products (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs, etc.). Post-secondary education Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or other relevant certifications (e.g., Financial Services, Operational Management) is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial systems or platforms related to registered products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to handle conflict, motivate staff, and oversee multiple tasks Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve operational challenges efficiently. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail when it comes to compliance, documentation, reporting and problem solving skills.
