Overview: Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. Multimatic's IT group is located in Markham, Ontario, and we are currently seeking a Application Support Specialist, who will be reporting to the Business Solutions SAP Manager. Scope of Position: In charge of MM/PP module enhancements from customer requirement gathering, detailed analysis, solutions, configuration, testing, documentation and user training based on defined timeline Acts as the first & second line of support of SAP system and Multimatic proprietary software (web apps + Inventory Management system), able to escalate issues to IT Technical/development teams if required Participate in rotating 24/7 after hour support of all Multimatic systems located in different countries as required Key Responsibilities: Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP MM/PP for all the divisions/plants corporation wide Interpret, validate customer/business process requirements; perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements; identify gaps and provide appropriate solutions; design, customize, configure and test the solutions in MM/PP areas with integrations with other SAP modules and legacy systems Provide training to users from various departments to ensure their understanding of the systems/processes/functions that they are required to use Proficient in Standard PO and PSA (Purchasing scheduling agreement) processes and configuration in SAP Proficient in investigating receiving variances and has the ability to explain why & where the variance is coming from Co-ordinate with FICO to ensure all material characteristics are available and passed over to COPA Support purchasing and material department with their daily activities and issues from material planning, scheduling, purchasing, receiving to invoicing and payment Great understanding of SAP PP in order to support the following business processes in discrete manufacturing industry: BOM, routing, MRP, planned/production orders, planning (scheduling, capacity planning, confirmation), make to order production, and support divisions/plants with day to day issues Preferred knowledge and support experience of SAP Ariba SLP and Business Network Help to develop and implement “best practices” to ensure the most “optimum” process/operation cross divisions/plants Review submitted requests for changes; evaluate what if any impact it may have to other customer programs, processes, departments or divisions; provide functional/technical documents for customization/development and user manual; complete deployment with testing and user training. Provide support for other legacy systems and processes Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Business Solutions SAP Manager Requirements: University degree Relevant SAP Functional and/or Academy Training/Certification Minimum of 5 years experience in a production support role Experience in automotive industry is preferred SAP S/4 Hana experience an asset Extensive knowledge of SAP MM and its integration with PP, PM, QM Knowledge of accounting and costing is a benefit Familiar with mass data loading and update using standard SAP functions including LSMW experience Familiar with Automotive EDI – 862, 830, 810, 850,997, 856 is an asset An individual performer possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills A good team player with excellent communication and organization skills To learn more about Multimatic, check out our youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psOjJIh3t90 If you are interested in this position, apply by sending us your cover letter and resume.
