Job Description: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the billing, collections, and credit processes to ensure timely payments and minimize financial risk. This role involves managing outstanding invoices, resolving payment disputes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices to clients or guests. Ensure accuracy in billing, including taxes, discounts, and contract terms. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to track outstanding balances. Follow up with customers on overdue payments via calls, emails, and statements. Assess credit applications, set appropriate credit limits, and mitigate financial risk. Establish and enforce collections policies to minimize bad debt. Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies in payments or invoices. Generate financial reports on AR aging, collections performance, and bad debt. Work closely with sales and operations teams to align AR processes with business goals. Maintain strong relationships with clients and guests while ensuring timely payments. Provide support with the Rent Roll as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting role, Hospitality experience is an asset. Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or currently enrolled in or completed CPA program. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. Able to set goals and standards that are decisive and achievement-oriented while finding solutions that are beneficial to guests, associates and the organization. Must have a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent and organized manner. Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence. Ability to analyze and solve problems; establish facts and draw conclusions. Strong computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), data-based software, email and web browsers.
