Job Description For External Posting The Role: We are looking for our next Industrial Millwright within our Maintenance team. The Industrial Millwright will be responsible for ensuring proper performance, planned maintenance and operation of production equipment and machinery. Ensure proper performance and operation of production equipment and machinery. Minimize production downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders and responding to breakdowns/emergency repairs in an efficient manner. Must be able to weld, solder, and use cutting torches. Ensure high standards of workmanship quality are delivered to prevent manufacturing equipment breakdowns. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine equipment repair requirements. Able to estimate jobs material and labor requirements. Project repair estimations and provide feedback to the planners. Order necessary parts and materials and work with suppliers as needed. Complete maintenance shift report at the completion of each shift using computerized software. Ability to balance the schedule between planned maintenance jobs and new jobs (priority scheduling, PM compliance). What You’ll Need: Education: Must hold a certified Journeyperson industrial Millwright License or Equivalent issued by the Province of Manitoba or bear the Red Seal Certificate from another province. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment SAP knowledge is preferred Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments.
