Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Procurement Lead will be responsible for all procurement related duties. This position will be based out of Mississauga, with some travel to Ajax. What you will be doing: · Oversee and manage the procurement lifecycle to ensure project success · Review Purchase Requisitions, identify potential suppliers, issue RFQs, and evaluate supplier quotes · Negotiate contract price, delivery schedules, logistics, payment terms, warranty, commercial terms, and other conditions · Document the supplier selection process and generate, manage, and release Purchase Orders to suppliers · Expedite orders as necessary to meet project schedule requirements · Manage suppliers until completion of Purchase Order deliverables, including submission and approval of required documents (drawings, test plans, etc) · Assess and resolve supplier related discrepancies, exceptions, disputes, issues, adverse trends, or non-conformances with suppliers · Effectively communicate and report order status and progress to all relevant stakeholders, and promptly escalate any issues to appropriate channels for timely resolution · Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of procurement processes, tools, and supplier development initiatives · Assist in initiating and developing master supply agreements for commonly used materials and recurring services· Assist the Estimating department in sourcing and obtaining valid quotes What we are looking for: · A business-related diploma or degree, or a professional designation in Supply Chain, is a critical asset · 5+ years of relevant procurement experience is considered an asset · Previous experience in the construction industry or supporting industries would be an asset · Familiarity with stringent quality assurance program projects, including but not limited to ISO 9001, CSA N299, N286, and code standards such as B51, N285, ASME III, CWB, and ESA, is considered an asset · Detail-oriented and focused on process compliance · Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and varying priorities · Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills · Proficient in the use of software systems · Eligibility for security clearance might be required We Put Safety First A healthy and safe work environment is non-negotiable.
