If this interests you, apply now!What we offer:Competitive salary and excellent benefits starting on your first day! plus 3 weeks vacation!The shift is Monday – Friday with opportunity to work from home twice a week!Variety: changing work scopes from one day to the next – there is always a new challengeKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete designs, drawings, and calculations while ensuring all Professional Work Products are authenticated and meet high industry standardsUnderstand and apply all aspects of CEDA’s Professional Practice Management Plan for engineering activities, ensuring compliance and quality.Serve as a trusted technical resource, providing valuable guidance and support to CEDA Special ServicesProvide timely and effective technical support, offering mechanical design solutions to both clients, and office/field personnelTrack and manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing regular updates and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgetPrepare and support the product registration process with the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA), ensuring all necessary documentation is in placeApply CEDA’s project management policies and tools across all assigned projects, ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflowMaintain clear, concise communication with both internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, issues, and updates.Demonstrate the ability to independently learn and apply new technical skills to meet the evolving needs of the business and the industry.Actively participate in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service deliverySupports the development of Technologist and EITs, reinforcing the principles of ethical conduct and professional service deliveryParticipates in the development of company operating, health, safety, environmental standards, policies and procedures pertaining to mechanical and industrial cleaning services.Role Specifications:5-10+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or related positionUndergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering is requiredHolding the Professional Engineer designation in good standing with APEGA (or other Canadian jurisdiction) is requiredFamiliarity with boiler and pressure vessel and piping codes (ASME): VIII-1, B31.3 is an assetRegistration with the PMI as a PMP is an assetExperience in an Oil and Gas or related industry is preferredHigh-level communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with 3D modelling and drafting with one of the following: Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent, is requiredSkills:You have an uncompromising belief in teamwork that allows you to effectively collaborate with others while supporting the goals of the businessStrong organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills with a high attention to detailYou’re flexible – a job like this requires some flexibility in schedulingAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
