TFS currently has an exciting full-time permanent opportunity as a Product Accounting Associate, reporting to the Customer Accounting Supervisor. This role will reside in our Markham Head Office. We have implemented a hybrid work environment, and our head office is located in Markham, ON. Number of days worked in office is subject to role requirements. What You’ll Be Doing: Accurate and timely posting of transactions to customer accounts in compliance with financial policies and procedures, including appropriate reconciliations. Assist in the processing of customer refunds and vendor payments Accurate and timely processing various invoices, including taxes payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Support Customer Accounting Supervisor with other activities as required including acting as a backup support for other team members. Support with journal entries including accounts reconciliations at month-end. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues. Support the department Kaizen’s initiatives by contributing good ideas to improve working processes. Support the audit process by providing the information as required by the auditors. What You’ll Bring: College/University degree with a specialization in Accounting/Finance Progress towards the completion of CPA designation (preferred) Minimum 1 to 2 years work experience. Prior experience with the financial service industry would be an asset. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Great Plains (preferred) Strong attention to detail, accuracy, well organized and ability to work towards tight reporting deadlines.
