About the Role
Performs variety of procedural and administrative tasks to create, maintain and ensure protection of company and government property and information. Tasks may support one or more of the following areas: general security administration, clearance processing, visitor and contractor vetting, access control, asset management, data collection, and record and report maintenance. Maintain security databases, logs, files, records and generate reports. Supports technical and non-technical security system architecture (i.e. CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.) to include installation, maintenance and repair, monitoring, and administration.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide security operational administrative support at the WESCAM facilities, and domestic satellite /International locations.
Process, monitor and track all visitor and contractor assessment requests for L3HARRIS WESCAM sites
Prepare reports and information updates for the Contract Security Program and Controlled Goods Programs as required by management or government.
Maintain the Badge Program; processes security badge information, employee photos and issue badges and access cards.
Provide support and guidance to the contract Security Guard staff
Process Controlled Goods security assessments for WESCAM employees by compiling and reviewing various documents including reference checks, criminal record checks, education verification and maintain record keeping.
Act as Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO).
Assist in the development of departmental presentations
Handle department financial activities; tracking and processing of POs and invoices.
Required Capabilities
Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and specific applications such as ETAS, Super HR, HTML.
A very effective communicator, in speaking with Government, Provincial, and Military Security officials in the capacity of Controlled Goods, Industrial Security Procedures, and Visit Clearances coordinator.
Sound communication skills in speaking with all levels of employees and management.
Effective trainer, in the delivery of Security Training / Briefing sessions.
Excellent administration and organizational skills.
Skilled in being well organized in day-to-day activities.
Quick learner of Controlled Goods and Contract Security policies and procedures.
Must hold or be eligible to hold a Security Clearance to the NATO Secret level.
Desired Education and Experiences
2-5+ years in Administration
College / University Degree
Experience dealing with all levels of employee and management in a medium to large organization.
Proven track record of being a self-starter.
Dealing with external agencies of L3 WESCAM; Government, Provincial, and military.
