Starting Wage: $22.43 per hour plus RSP
Job Responsibilities
Provide superior customer service to clients
Read and understand Maritime Pacific Single Quarter’s Regulations
Act as building Fire Warden
Work outside in various weather conditions for general cleaning/upkeep
Complete March In/Out routines
Complete rounds of building
Complete damage reports
Submit work orders with Real Property Operations
Maintain key control
Maintain building safety equipment (first aid kits, eye wash stations, emergency showers, earthquake survival kits)
Prepare linen exchanges
Report to BAccnO regarding needs for linen, furniture, supplies, etc.
Use Microsoft Office suite of software including: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
Extensively use Base Accommodation software (MS Access and QuickQuarters)
Liaise with outside agencies such as Preventative Medicine, Real Property Operations, DND Fire Services, and other units to ensure reservations needs are understood
Execute emergency procedures (fire, active shooter, earthquake, building evacuations, etc.)
Be responsible to the Base Accommodation’s Officer and Base Administration Chain of Command
Use POS equipment to process debit/credit payments
Qualifications and Experience
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Ability to remain alert while on duty.
Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
Possess or be willing to obtain a valid BC security worker's license.
Be comfortable using computers.
Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
Have excellent problem-solving skills.
Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – training & support will be provided.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
