SUMMARY Responsible for the oversight of the systems transactions, training requirements and process standards required for the daily business needs of the Plant Operations within his/her scope of responsibility. Oversight of Aluminum purchasing and inventory controls. Maintain information flow to plant for scheduling and shipping requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: Raw Material planning Work with procurement team to determine best sourcing options and volume ratios for following year Work with procurement team to generate executive summary Work with Analyst Sr. – Inventory Planning (Sara) to generate commercial bid as well as purchase summary required components for docusign approval submission Maintain forecasting data (RMA) to understand future requirements in Painted and Bare metal Work with Analyst Sr. – Inventory Planning (Sara) to understand delays, and lead times in Bare metal deliveries Work with Analyst Sr. – Supply Chain (Newie) to understand future painted coil needs and changes in demand patterns Using bare inventory volume, known delays & lead times, and painted coil requirements, establish and maintain a purchasing plan for bare coil Provide PO details to Analyst Sr. – Inventory Planning (Sara) by vendor/destination according to required lead times to avoid ‘no coil’ events at paint lines, while keeping bare inventory levels in control Work with vendors to meet volume agreements or if necessary, adjust forecast volumes due to unforeseen market changes Work with vendors to quote and provide samples (if required) for new sizes/specs to support new product development Analyze opportunities to reduce on hand inventory exposure by consolidating bare sku’s Directly supervises the S&OP department; oversees the performance management, attendance and training functions. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Completion of University and/or College degree or acquired experience in a related field Certificate of education in administrative, accounting or software fields would be considered an asset Excellent organizational and time management skills Comprehensive understanding of company business, objectives and products Highly effective skills in Microsoft excel and word Comprehensive understanding of Company ERP Systems & related systems (JDE / DSI) Comprehensive understanding of the role as a strategic Contributor Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to learn new computer software programs and improves on existing programs Able to perform tasks with little or no supervision Able to work well with others and in a team setting Must be a self-starter Industry experience is an asset Westlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
