Synopsis of the role As a Revenue Accountant you will drive innovation and automation across the enterprise. You will be heavily involved in, and often lead finance and wider business projects, reporting into the Revenue Manager. As part of our dynamic Finance Team, you will own the revenue accounting for all lines of business, consumer and commercial. The Finance Team is accountable for reporting all accounting in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards. What You'll Do: Revenue accounting for Equifax Canada, in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards Management of the accounting for revenue generating projects. You will prepare month-end reports, commentaries and variance analysis to senior management Management of the sales contract review process and input into customer opportunities Review and approval of monthly commission payments for the sales force You will support the FP&A team in forecasting and budgeting, quarterly contract reviews of material contracts and oversee the rebate and royalties process Involvement with, and leadership of, multi-functional projects and business initiatives Involvement in the production of customer invoices and management of authorization workflows Assessment on the accounting treatments of different revenue topics such as recognition/rebate/discounts and other What Experience you need : You will need to have 5+ years’ management accounting experience and university degree in accounting Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting Foreign currency accounting and report writing and maintenance Experience using Oracle Financial system Advanced Excel Skills Experience on the review of Contracts and Master Agreements which are multi-element and complex.
