The UTSC Health & Wellness Centre provides health promotion, primary care and counselling services in an interprofessional shared care model. Your opportunity:
Health Promotion collaborates with campus and community partners to implement programming that builds community and institutional capacity to enhance student health and wellbeing. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Health & Wellness and day-to-day supervision provided by the Health Promotion Officer, the Health Promotion Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing and evaluating health promotion programming to improve student health and wellbeing. The Health Promotion Program Coordinator assesses the impact of health promotion programming and the peer health education and outreach programs through the development and implementation of assessment tools, satisfaction surveys, program utilization analysis and others.
The peer health education team is made up of a dedicated group of students who work closely with health promotion staff to promote overall health and wellness and to cultivate a community that enhances student wellbeing by developing and delivering a variety of health promotion and outreach initiatives to the undergraduate and graduate student community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
- Analyzing and recommending enhancements to student success programs
- Liaising with internal and external contacts to coordinate execution of seminars and workshops
- Overseeing day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of programs.
- Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives
- Fostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
- Researching and recommending appropriate resources and materials
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area of study or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years' experience in the health programming, preferably within a peer health education model in a university environment.
- Experience with program and workshop implementation and evaluation.
- Experience coordinating small and large-scale events
- Proficient experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team comprised of multi-disciplinary individuals with varying responsibilities
- Demonstrated creativity, flexibility and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends

Note:
- This is a TERM position for 18-months.
- Hours of Work: 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM for 3-4 days a week and 11:45 AM to 8:00 PM for 1-2 days a week
