To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing As a member of the CIBC Storage Engineering team, we are looking for a skilled NAS Engineer with expertise in object storage, NetApp infrastructure, StorageGRID, and S3 products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network-attached storage solutions while ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role requires a deep understanding of storage technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will develop and execute plans to maintain the currency, capacity, and refresh cycles of the storage environment. You will provide technical leadership and share best practices with other technology teams throughout the design, build, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases of storage-related initiatives and projects. Additionally, you will deliver Level 3 support to troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in storage hardware and software, addressing operational issues and restoring services efficiently. How You’ll Succeed Leadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance Mobility related solutions. Weigh business needs against technology offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve the user experience, which are practical and achievable. Governance – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements etc. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department. Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options. Technical Expertise - Provide comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams; provide subject matter expertise on specific existing technologies. Manage the ongoing vitality of the technology throughout its lifecycle. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in: design, solution, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing in storage. You have a clear understanding of applications and platforms, and how they interact with NAS. Experience and knowledge of marketplace experience, developments and trends as they relate to NAS. You have skills in operating and maintaining various NAS Storage equipment including Storage Grid, Azure, AWS. Design, implement, and manage NAS solutions using NetApp infrastructure and StorageGRID. Strong understanding with NAS protocols (NFS, CIFS and SMB) and related technologies. You have first-hand experience working on NAS storage equipment from the following vendors like NetApp, Rubrik, Windows/Linux/SQL, Hyper Converged Infrastructure technology, Azure, AWS. You have experience or are familiar with working in an Agile environment including Scrum and Kanban You have experience or are familiar with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AWS and OpenShift. You have strong knowledge of: IT Standards, Policies and Procedures and have the ability to use and administer the organization's technology practices, standards and procedures appropriately to diverse situations.
