Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions of the Canada based Subsidiary.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains and update weekly and monthly cash flow actuals and forecasts for Canada
Responsible for monthly closing process to include night of month end closing, recurring journal entries and adjustments, upload sales and cogs detail as well as trial balance into One Stream, completion of data forms and certification
Prepares assigned balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepares assigned month-end calculations and corresponding journal entries
Lead the Annual Vendor Scrub process
Produce the quarterly Transfer Price calculations
Work with the external tax advisors to complete the annual corporate tax return
Complete the quarterly corporate tax reporting and submit to the tax department
Supports audit requests
Prepares the annual financial budget and monthly forecasts for Canada to include P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
Prepare bi-weekly Payroll information and submit to Payroll team for processing.
Coordinate annual issuance of T4’s and filings with the CRA.
Download and prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entry.
Prepare monthly RSP and RRSP submission and forward to HR for processing.
Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annually sales tax returns
Initiate new GL accounts requests as needed
Complete ad-hoc projects and requests as required

Strong attention to detail, accuracy and manages time appropriately.
Bilingual (French) preferred.
Education/Experience Requirements
B.S. in accounting/finance or related field.
3 to 7 years of related accounting experience.
Experience with ADP Team Pay, Oracle and One Stream preferred.
Experience with Canada payroll and sales tax laws preferred.
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel anticipated.
