Job Description
The Dietary Technician reports to the Director, Healthcare Menu & Marketing. You will use your technical training and government mandated nutritional standards on food health to develop healthy menu implementation plans. This is primarily an administrative role with a great deal of data input for our healthcare menu planning. You will be part of a caring, intelligent and ambitous team supporting senior living and healthcare accounts across Canada.

Job Responsibilities
Complete routine maintenance to Computrition Nutrition Service Suite and Food Service Suite as required to match updates from PRIMA Web Master as they occur.
Database management oversight including menu management
Set up new items, nutritional information, and recipes in Computrition
Liase with Computrition to implement system changes
Assist Registered Dietitians with menu planning as required
Actively participate in departmental CQI initiative

Recent graduate of an approved Food Service Supervisor or Nutrition Management program or equivalent work experience.
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CNSM)
Ideally, some exposure to clinical experience in acute care hospital setting or senior living / long term care community
Current knowledge of therapeutic diets
Working knowledge of Computrition Menu Management Systems
Minimum one year of Computrition data maintenance experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based model with clear communication skills working with clinical programs.
