This individual plays a pivotal role in supporting Business Operations and driving the organization's data-driven decision-making through continuously improving Commercial Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (“REMS”) data quality and data management operational capabilities. Under minimal supervision, the Associate Director will ensure operational efficiencies and data accuracy across all REMS-related datasets within the Alexion ecosystem. The individual must be confident, have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate across all commercial functions. Key Responsibilities Support the Director, Commercial REMS Data & Insights to develop and implement comprehensive REMS data strategies aligning with commercial and business objectives. Find opportunities to use REMS data for driving business growth and operational efficiency. Establish and follow project management guidelines that are scalable and can be brought to bear across all REMS data related projects. Consistently track progress on all tasks to keep projects moving forward and on schedule. Ensure seamless integration and alignment of REMS data into MDM, SAP, CRM, and downstream systems. Develop complex reports to monitor REMS data quality and ensure compliance. Establish and track KPIs for REMS data management initiatives. Find opportunities for process optimization and lead projects to streamline workflows across functions. Support monitoring of vendor REMS data feeds for uninterrupted data availability. Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure high data quality and compliance across all commercial REMS operations. Monitor data usage and quality metrics, implementing improvements as necessary. Work closely with compliance, field effectiveness, and IT teams to gather requirements, drive projects, and resolve any data processing issues. Oversee end-to-end operations for REMS-related master data, including data stewardship, integration with HCO & HCP datasets, and continuous improvement of data quality processes. Act as the main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for REMS master data operations and handle ad-hoc data extract requests. Actively participate in REMS related master data governance initiatives, ensuring timely implementation of business partner work and alignment with REMS compliance requirements. Monitor MDM data processing alerts and interface health, resolving synchronization issues between systems. Collaborate with CRM systems, MDM systems, Customer Data Platforms, and other sales and customer data sources. Provide REMS data-driven insights and reports to business collaborators, guiding strategic decisions. Apply advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to uncover insights and trends. Support data related activities and projects for new product launches and development of new REMS programs. Discover opportunities to apply REMS data processes and repositories to drive alignment, consistency, and operational efficiency across products, indications, and the commercial team. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including IT, Insights and Sales Operations, marketing, and sales, to integrate REMS data strategies across the organization. Fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. Essential Education, Skills & Experience: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Computer or Information/Data Sciences, Business, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and maintaining master data management systems, with a strong knowledge of master data and REMS related data sets Proven track record in supporting data-driven projects for a commercial organization Experience with Veeva applications, including Network and Open Data, order management systems – SAP, and REMS data/requirements Proficiency in data management and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, or Tableau Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices Ability to understand key master data elements and enrich such data and make it available to the business Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand systems and processes, along with knowledge of workflows to generate and maintain quality data Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets, and capability to manage multiple requests simultaneously Demonstrated history of efficient functional and multi-functional coordination Desired Skills & Experience: Desire and ability to learn/implement new tools and capabilities Diligent, self-starter, able to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience, working in the pharma or biotech sectors, preferably working within or with the Commercial team At Alexion, you will find a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and a diverse environment where your contributions are valued.
