About biomodal
Join the multiomic revolution! Over the last 20 years, genomic technologies have enabled significant discoveries that bring the promise of personalised medicine closer than ever before. But after two decades of research, it’s clear that genetic variation only tells part of the story – biology is dynamic and more complex than A, C, T, G. Already, the added information from a multiomic view of biology is yielding important insights into cancer, ageing, and neurological disease, and is poised to revolutionise how we understand health and disease beyond canonical variation in DNA.
biomodal is an omics-based life sciences technology and analytics company, delivering products that bring the dynamism of our ever-changing biology into focus. Our team is dedicated to developing the most advanced solutions to interrogate and understand the complex interplay of genomics and epigenomics.
We have launched our first products, the duet +modC and duet evoC solutions, with more in the pipeline, and are looking to grow and evolve our business accordingly. This is an incredible opportunity to step into an exciting, early-stage company at the cutting edge of science with exceptional growth and market impact potential.
Multiomics is the future – come and join the biomodal team!
The Team
The Protein Science team at biomodal, part of the R&D function, focuses on developing, characterizing, and engineering key enzymes for our assay platform. Collaborating across the company they ensure these enzymes are robust, specific, and scalable. Using established and innovative analytical methods, the team examines protein quality and function to deepen understanding and improve performance.
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join biomodal’s pioneering Protein Science team and play a key role in shaping a new function within the company. The successful candidate will work at the crossroads of AI, classical protein engineering, high-throughput screening, and nucleic acid chemistry. This role will provide the opportunity to drive the development of novel enzymes and enhance key properties such as activity, specificity, and stability, all while working at scale and pace. Collaborating across diverse teams, this role will be central to advancing our assay platform and pushing the boundaries of protein science.
If you’re excited by innovation and thrive in fast-paced environments, this role is for you.
The Person
The ideal candidate will want to combine supporting core protein science activities with the opportunity to explore novel avenues of technology development. This role would suit someone with a passion for protein science/enzymology and would like to utilise their academic knowledge in an industrial setting.
