The Role
Pantheon’s Technical Solutions team directly supports our largest and most strategic customers, helping them to successfully onboard onto the Pantheon platform and derive immediate and ongoing value from working with us.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, and customer success-focused Solutions Architect to join our Technical Solutions team. As a Solutions Architect, you will help our partners and customers build applications that perform as well as possible on the Pantheon platform and serve as technical lead for a cross-functional delivery team.
? This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States or in Canada (Toronto, ON, or Vancouver, BC).
What You Need to Succeed:
Guide migrations of complex Drupal and WordPress applications from the pre-sales stage all the way through to launch
Serve as Technical Lead to a cross functional team with expertise in CDN configuration, content migrations, and application debugging.
Document complex architectures and development workflows. Coach customer web teams on ways to adopt those processes.
Be a Technical Resource for Customer Success Managers as they engage with customers on their application and WebOps challenges. This includes both internal discussions and customer-facing meetings to help ensure the customer is getting the most from their investment in Pantheon.
Work directly with multiple customers at a time, building and maintaining a trusted relationship with them.
Debug a site’s performance by analyzing a number of data sources and identifying connections that aren’t readily apparent.
Recommend standard solutions to resolve performance issues without help.
Work across the Organization to standardize solutions for common performance issues.
Help maintain custom solutions once implemented
What You Bring To The Table
Bachelors of Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years developing enterprise Drupal sites
2+ years experience developing WordPress sites
1+ years providing architectural guidance for WordPress and Drupal sites
Extensive experience analyzing enterprise-grade WordPress/Drupal sites for performance issues on both the frontend and backend.
Experience building and running continuous integration systems for WordPress/Drupal sites
Experience with architectural documentation and technical writing
Proven ability to manage customer relationships, including escalations from customers who are frustrated with their experience to date.
Bonus Points For
Experience developing with Node and Next.js
Deep knowledge of the Pantheon platform and workflows (or other platforms in the Open Source community)
Experience training other on technical topics

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is as follows:
United States: $137,000- $165,000
Vancouver, BC & Toronto, ON (Canada): CAD 150,000-165,000
This position also offers a performance bonus dependent on company performance. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
