This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in project controls within complex, regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, or large-scale infrastructure.
Please note that this position requires to work on-site in Kincardine, Ontario three days per week.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of integrated project controls systems, including cost management, scheduling, risk, and change control.Oversee the preparation and maintenance of project baselines and ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.Manage and coordinate schedule development and updates using tools such as Primavera P6, ensuring accurate progress tracking and forecasting.Monitor project performance through earned value management (EVM), variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Provide leadership in cost control, including budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.Facilitate risk management processes, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and reporting.Support project governance through regular reporting, dashboards, and presentations to senior stakeholders.Collaborate with project managers, finance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure data integrity and alignment across functions.Mentor and guide junior project controls staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.8+ years of experience in project controls, with at least 3 years in a leadership role on large infrastructure or energy projects.Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost management tools (e.g., Prism, EcoSys), and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of earned value management, scheduling techniques, and risk management.Experience in the nuclear or other highly regulated industries is preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to work on-site in Kincardine three days per week.Additional InformationWhat's in it for you...
