Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will ensure efficient and timely processing of invoices for goods and services purchased, adhering to departmental policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Manage complete Accounts Payable functions, including processing discount, non-purchase order/purchase order invoices, and disbursement requisitions.
Ensure accuracy in tax codes, currency, and completeness according to policies.
Perform mass upload using Excel templates for non-PO invoices in SAP.
Resolve IDOC issues related to EDI vendor invoices not posted in SAP.
Verify daily invoice entries in GEAC & SAP systems for compliance.
Review and follow-up on outstanding invoices with Buyers and Receivers.
Submit PO and non-PO invoices for approval via Adobesign.
Print and process invoices received daily from suppliers and internal clients.
Sort, open, date stamp, and distribute departmental mail.
Communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
Issue stop payments on outstanding cheques as per guidelines.
Complete Plexxus vendor creation and maintenance forms.
Create vendor numbers for employees and physicians.
Coordinate reconciliation of GRIR monthly vendor accounts sub-ledger.
Analyze and reconcile vendor statements to clear overdue invoices.
Assist with monthly period/year-end activities and other related tasks.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable position.
Experience processing 70-100 invoices a day.
6+ months experience with SAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to type 45-60 WPM with accuracy.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
College Degree in accounting or college diploma with two years of relevant accounting experience.
Knowledge of Purchasing/Logistics in SAP related to Accounts Payable.
Experience with Excel Pivot Tables.
Industry experience in Healthcare/Hospitals.
Analytical thinking and proactive attitude.
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
