You would be required to drive the tractor trailer to various sites and once on site you would be working with crews of 4-8 people. The work can be physical in nature when rigging-in and rigging-out with much of your day spent operating the pigging equipment from the heated/cooled operator's cab. The work varies day to day and you would be deployed to our various projects throughout the province and occasionally to sites throughout Canada. Our Pigging and Decoking Operators provide support to refineries, petrochemical facilities and associated industrial complexes by cleaning pipes and pipelines through means of hydraulically propelling a mechanical pig through the line.Shifts vary greatly as the work is mostly project based. The work changes daily.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Safely mobilize equipment to and from client sites, company stations, and other facilities as directedSet up and operate specialty pigging equipment to clean systems at facilitiesProvide mechanical troubleshooting support in the field in order to ensure pigging equipment maintains operableProvide mechanical support in the shop in order to repair and maintain equipmentEnsure completion of accurate daily driving and on duty logsProactively ensure that all personal training requirements are met and maintainedMaintain open and truthful dialogue with Supervisors, Project Managers and Operations Manager to ensure understanding of scope of work and job readinessHaul hoses, PPE, and tools to where the work is being doneComplete required paperwork for projects and jobsChallenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every timeOther duties as assignedQualifications:Valid Class 1 license (able to drive manual transmission) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredOnsite training will be provided H2S Alive and Standard First Aid are an asset but not required, we can train you!
