A DAY IN THE LIFE As Coupa’s primary system owner, this role will collaborate closely with the Business Systems team to design, configure, and support platform functionality across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Coupa, preferably in professional services, or engineering / project-based corporate environments, experience supporting public company processes, and a strong understanding of SOX compliance as it relates to purchasing and financial system controls. Serve as the Coupa system lead, responsible for configuration, administration, and ongoing optimization of all aspects of the platform Manage end-to-end configuration, testing, deployment, and support of Coupa functionality. Maintain integrations between Coupa and Workday (Financials and HCM), including troubleshooting and enhancement projects. Partner with stakeholders to design and implement system enhancements aligned to procurement and business objectives. Support supplier onboarding and CSP (Coupa Supplier Portal) configuration and issue resolution. Manage catalog and item master data uploads, workflows, and controls. Create and maintain documentation of procurement processes, workflows, and user roles Support internal controls and SOX compliance by ensuring audit-readiness of purchasing workflows and approval hierarchies Lead or contribute to system upgrades, new module implementations, and process improvement initiatives Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues in coordination with IT and business partners Deliver training and support for business users and serve as a subject matter expert for procurement system functionality NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility, listed in the A Day in the Life section above, satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Coupa Procurement, including direct and indirect spend management Experience with Workday ERP, especially financials or procurement modules, strongly preferred Public company experience required, with a clear understanding of SOX controls related to procurement and system access Proven ability to manage procurement systems in a cross-functional environment Experience in process optimization, system administration, and user support Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to operational detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical users Experience in the environmental services industry or similar regulated, project-based industries is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field required; Coupa certifications or training credentials a plus.
