We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Accounting Manager to manage critical accounting operations and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead process improvements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), revenue recognition, general ledger, and reconciliations. Review and approve journal entries impacting business unit operations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control policies. Collaborate directly with operational managers to verify correct coding of transactions and provide training as needed to maintain data accuracy. Analyze costs recorded in the general ledger in detail to support operational and financial decision-making. Report operational statistics and KPIs, reporting results in alignment with established timelines. Lead and contribute to special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing accounting operations. Maintain strict quality control over financial transactions and reporting processes. Develop, update, and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks. Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure timely and accurate reporting and operational excellence. Leadership & Team Development : Lead, manage, and develop a team of ~5 to 7 direct reports. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in financial processes and systems. Coordinate team goals with company objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy. Provide mentoring and coaching to team members, focusing on their professional growth and development. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Must have 5+ years senior level experience of month-end close, full cycle accounting Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading projects and driving process improvements.
