Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer/Designer is responsible for contributing to the electrical design, development, and calculations of assigned manufacturing projects related to relay panels, control buildings, and switchgears. This role will primarily support the engineering design of low-voltage switchgear products.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Review customer specifications to create drawings and bill of materials for assigned projects within budget, including the selection of parts
Design single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams for power distribution, including network diagrams for communication and automation.
Design and perform load calculations for power distribution systems.
Work with Purchasing and Vendors to receive quotes and lead times to complete design.
Provide engineering support to production departments during all stages of manufacturing.
Coordinate with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.
Work with Lead Engineer and assist with other project tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience and knowledge with computers and MS office programs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or related software.
Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
At least 2-4 years of related work experience in electrical power systems.
Previous experience in low-voltage switchgear products a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
