As Indigo Blinds & Shades expands into the Kamloops region, they’re offering an exciting opportunity for a self-driven, design-oriented individual to take the lead in building their presence there. This independent contractor role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial who thrives on autonomy and personal growth. As the face of the brand in Kamloops, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and serving clients, managing projects from consultation through to installation, and working in close partnership with a designated installer. You’ll oversee installation quality, coordinate timelines, and manage installer compensation directly from your earned commissions. While this is a self-directed role, you won’t be on your own. Their BC Office will provide hands-on training, guidance, and ongoing support to help you and your installer succeed. This opportunity is especially well-suited to a close-knit team, such as a couple or family members, looking to build a successful business together under a trusted and supportive brand.
Key responsibilities will include:
Operate as an independent contractor, managing your own schedule and client relationships while reporting directly to the franchise owner;
Leverage existing relationships and networking opportunities to build a strong local client base;
Conduct in-home consultations, present product options (including blinds, shades, shutters, and custom drapery), and guide clients through the design selection process;
Take accurate window measurements and prepare detailed, professional quotes;
Manage each project from initial contact through to completion, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service throughout;
Collaborate with the installer to coordinate smooth and timely installations;
Maintain ongoing relationships with clients for potential repeat business and referrals;
Proactively stay current with emerging design trends, products, and smart home technologies;
Represent Indigo Blinds & Shades at local events or trade shows as needed to build brand awareness;
Develop strategic partnerships with local realtors, builders, or interior designers to grow your client base;
Keep accurate records of consultations, orders, and customer communications;
Troubleshoot product or service concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
This is a commission-based opportunity where you’ll receive 50% of the profits from each sale made, offering strong income potential for the right individual or team.
