Indigo Blinds & Shades is expanding into the Kamloops region, and they are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Installer to help bring our high-quality window covering solutions to life. Working in close collaboration with the local Design Consultant, you’ll be responsible for the professional installation of custom blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery in both residential and commercial spaces.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience who may already have other work or commitments and is looking to earn additional income on a flexible, part-time basis. Installations are scheduled in coordination with the Design Consultant, allowing for adaptable hours and efficient workflows. To ensure your success, their BC Office will provide thorough training, resources, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Accurately and professionally install a range of window coverings based on provided measurements and product specs;
Maintain a clean and safe work area in clients’ homes or businesses;
Communicate regularly with the Design Consultant to coordinate project timelines and address any issues;
Troubleshoot installation challenges on-site and ensure client satisfaction;
Represent the Indigo Blinds & Shades brand with professionalism and courtesy;
Keep basic tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
Previous experience in window covering installation, carpentry, cabinetry, or general finishing work is an asset;
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
Comfortable using hand and power tools;
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
Professional, courteous demeanor in client-facing situations.
This is a contractor role paid on a per job basis, with payment handled directly by the Design Consultant as a portion of their commission.
