We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer who has concrete experience to join the team at the Granville Project in Vancouver!
Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.
Responsibilities:
Cut, drill, and chip concrete using tools like power saws, drills, and jackhammers
Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using tools like pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools
Operate other power tools like the vibrator to compact concrete
Assist with concrete pours
Assist with concrete formwork and stripping formwork
Operate the telehandler and/or mobile elevated work platforms
General site cleanup and housekeeping
Review work area for damages
Assist with other duties as required
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry
Experience with operating a Telehandler & Elevated Work Platforms considered an asset
Experience using power tools required
Must have safety tickets: CSTS/ WHMIS, & Fall Pro
Experience working with concrete is considered an asset
Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, walk on uneven ground
Capable of learning through on-the-job training
Reliable transportation
Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
