Demonstrate the ability to explain and identify hazards present in an energy isolation procedure. Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of control panel and operations of DCS and PLC HMI interfaces. WORKING CONDITIONS The job is within an industrial plant environment and you may be required to work within various areas including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and exposure to the risk of electrical shock. Subject to all temperatures, weather, and varying road conditions. Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes at all times during a work shift. Employees work in a unionized, highly industrial setting. The Work Schedule Requirements of the job are as follows: The Hamilton facility operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. Members of the Operations team will be required to work different days of the week as part of shift rotations (required to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). The position requires overtime as needed. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general, as well as contributing to an overall positive team environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Job conditions require effective communication, making visual inspections, and ability to make precise hand movements. Job conditions may require standing, walking, twisting, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping, and the ability to operate and/or drive all assigned company vehicles. Ability to lift, move or carry heavy weighted (>50lbs) valves, tools and equipment. Working in physically challenging positions when required. Ability to climb ladders, walk-up and down stairs, and comfortable working at heights.
