About the Opportunity
Eriez Flotation Canada Inc. the flagship office for FLOTATION, is seeking a Manager of Process Engineering to join our Mineral Processing Team. You will have strong skills in supervision, process engineering, testwork management, and commissioning/operational support experience in froth flotation and mineral processing operations. Working within a small, high-performing team in our Delta, BC office, and through strong collaboration with other Eriez offices globally, you will be directly responsible for organizing and delivering both process engineering design support and services to our international and Canadian mining clients.
In this role, you will undertake the following duties, including but not limited to:
Leadership:
Lead and guide a team of 3-6 Process Engineers/Metallurgists/Process Technicians to ensure the achievement of quality, productivity and timely completions of tasks
Checking and reviewing work performed by members of the process team and managing the allocation of work within the team
Pro-active contribution to business development activities including client meetings, technical presentations at professional conferences and/or events, representative training
Provide mentoring, leadership and professional development to the process team
Develop, review and implement Workflow Processes and Procedures
Responsible of tracking RFQs, Orders and Support Requests to ensure effective and timely response to other departments, customers and external parties
Technical and Operational Support:
Coordinate with Global Flotation’s Capital Sales, Services , Engineering and Product
Groups as well as territory based Eriez offices to support process related aspects of equipment sales, project delivery and overall business excellence
Direct involvement in the development, management, and interpretation of the laboratory / Piloting Metallurgical Testwork Program. Participate in testwork at laboratories and customer sites, as necessary.
Writing and reviewing testwork reporting, sales proposal technical content, business cases and technical whitepapers
Perform calculations related to equipment sizing and process design in response to commercial bid packages
Provide Commissioning, Operation and Optimization support at clients’ site
Resolving technical and process design challenges related to new delivery projects /
Perform troubleshooting using root cause analysis principals to address process issues for equipment in operation
Collaborating on projects with local and global team members, external parties and our clients directly
Liaising with key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projects
Providing regular project updates including work progress, risks, and priorities
Coordinate and work with instrument specialists for instrument/valves/pump selection and datasheet development
Preparation and review of equipment datasheets, control philosophy or any other technical documentation as needed
About You
To qualify, you must have +17 years of relevant experience preferably in mineral processing or chemical engineering. We also require a degree education in Engineering and a P. Eng designation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the flotation technology, manufacturing, and/or mining equipment industry.
In addition, you must have knowledge, skills, or experience in the following:
Froth flotation process and flow sheet development and analysis
Client-facing role with proven proficiency in delivering OEM and/or EPC projects on time and within budgets
Comfortable leading internal / external meetings and presenting to an audience
Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solve are essential to the role
Able to travel domestically and internationally (Approx. 10%-20%)
Detail orientated, organized with strong planning and coordination skills
Able to respond quickly to change and adapt to new requirements
