We are looking for a Set-Up Co-Op Summer Student. The Student will bein collaboration with the Set-Up team for optimizing our processes and workflows and will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and supplying to the overall efficiency of our operations. The Student will work with our Technical Manager at IPEX Edmonton Plant. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain a cold end tooling register and handle other tooling projects. Collaborate with vendors and use parts drawings to understand the details of required parts (e.g., materials, dimensions) Connect with fabricators to get new equipment fabricated. Evaluate and detail formal processes within the department, including assembling images and detailing for training purposes. Build new design drawings for existing and new equipment using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Job requirements: Pursuing an engineering degree – preferably Mechanical Engineering. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience. Previous experience with design and manufacturing preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word and Excel. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead multiple tasks. Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions Desire to build and maintain working relationships within training department and across the business. Demonstrates curiosity and seeks ways to improve ongoing processes in outstanding ways.
